Osseo Reflects on Banner Year for Summer Recreation Programs
As the Osseo Parks and Recreation Department reflects back on programming this summer, it reports a big increase in participation.
Individual class registration went up 77 percent, from 221 people in 2019 to 392 this year. The total number of children registered also went up, from 180 to 232.
One staff member says the combination of people wanting to get back to “normal” and the relatively low programming fee are two reasons for the higher numbers.
As parks and recreation committee members looked at programming for next year, one suggestion was looking at creating more options for older kids.
