Octapharma Plasma Opens in Brooklyn Park
People in the northwest metro now have a new option if they want to donate plasma and earn a little money in the process.
Brooklyn Park is now home to Octapharma Plasma, which opened in a strip mall on the northwest corner of West Broadway and Brooklyn Boulevard on April 12.
Donated plasma is used to help patients dealing with certain cancers, hemophilia, auto immune diseases and burns.
Officials from Octapharma Plasma say the new donation center will bring about 50 new jobs to the area.
People who qualify can donate twice within a seven-day period, and all donors are compensated for their time.
