North Hennepin Community College Launches Partnership with Arizona State
Students at North Hennepin Community College now have an easier path to earning a four-year degree from a school out West.
North Hennepin has announced a partnership with Arizona State University that allows students here in Brooklyn Park to seamlessly transfer their credits over to ASU.
Interested students can access a tool called MyPath2ASU® to see which courses to take that are required to earn an Arizona State bachelor’s degree.
“Being one of the premier institutions in the country, specifically known for their online programs, we thought, what a unique partnership that this could be,” said Julio Vargas-Essex, North Hennepin’s vice president of student affairs and enrollment management. “And so we reached out to them and they were very excited and open to meeting with us and working with us. And ever since then it’s been this wonderful partnership.”
About 25 North Hennepin students have transferred to Arizona State over the last couple of years with the vast majority of them taking their classes online.
