New Minnesota Viking Visits Crescent Cove in Brooklyn Center
One of the newest members of the Minnesota Vikings made a visit to Brooklyn Center’s Crescent Cove, a children’s respite and hospice facility.
Defensive tackle Harrison Phillips along with Viktor the Viking, the team’s mascot, stopped by on Tuesday to meet a family and make a few arts and crafts. Phillips says he volunteered for a similar cause while in Buffalo, where he played for the Bills.
“I’ve worked with similar children and young adults in Buffalo. It’s tough but rewarding, just the little bit of joy that you can potentially bring,” said Phillips.
Crescent Cove offers care and support to children and young adults with a shortened life-expectancy. All services at Crescent Cove are provided at no out-of-pocket cost thanks to donors.
