New Hope Revamps Corner Park
New Hope plans to replace the playground system in Corner Park, which is the oldest playground system in the city. It was last replaced in 1997.
Corner Park is located on 47th Ave. North. This week, the city approved plans to begin work this spring on replacing the playground equipment. The sand will also be replaced with engineered wood fiber. A new bench and a new sign will also be added.
The cost will be $185,000 and will come out of the park infrastructure fund. People who live nearby will get to have input on the new design.
The new playground is expected to be ready for play this summer.
