New Hope Discusses Organized Garbage Collection
The New Hope City Council discussed organized garbage collection in a work session this week. New Hope has open garbage collection, where individuals can choose their own hauler. The city has capped the number of haulers with licenses to six, but there’s discussion of reducing that further in an effort to reduce wear and tear on city streets. Mayor Kathi Hemken says the issue will be on a city council agenda soon.
