Motorcyclist Killed in Brooklyn Park Crash ID’d
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner has identified the motorcyclist killed in a crash last Thursday evening in Brooklyn Park.
The medical examiner says 35-year-old Vern Brahm Shivnarine of Brooklyn Park died of multiple blunt force injuries.
Brooklyn Park police say Shivnarine lost control of his motorcycle and slid under a passenger car by the intersection of Quail Avenue North and Oxbow Creek Drive.
The crash occurred at approximately 6:10 p.m. Thursday, May 9. It wasn’t immediately clear what caused the driver of the motorcycle to lose control.
Life-saving efforts were attempted, but Shivnarine died at the scene.
Besides Brooklyn Park police, the Brooklyn Park Fire Department and North Memorial Health paramedics responded to the crash. The Minnesota State Patrol and Hennepin County investigators provided assistance in processing the crash scene.
