Metro Transit Suspends Service Through Sunday
Metro Transit has suspended nearly all bus and light rail service through Sunday. According to Metro Transit officials, the suspension of bus, light rail and Northstar service was done “out of concern for the safety of our customers and employees.”
The suspension comes with the continued unrest and chaotic events following the death of George Floyd involving a Minneapolis police officer.

Metro Transit says there’s one exception to the service suspension. METRO Blue Line airport shuttle service will continue to operate between Terminals 1 and 2 and Fort Snelling. Officials said this service is for essential trips only with face covering and social distancing protocol still in effect.
Metro Mobility, which serves people with disabilities and health conditions, will continue to operate where it is safe to do so throughout the service area.
Riders will get updated on when service will return by 8 p.m. Sunday.
