Maranatha Student Buys Valentine Doughnuts for All the Girls in School
Maranatha Christian Academy is a very sweet place to be on Valentine’s Day.
Every Valentine’s Day, the student council hosts a fundraiser where they will deliver doughnuts for $1.
Every year, David Dorman has bought doughnuts in the student council fundraiser to be delivered to all the girls in his grade.
This year is his senior year, so he purchased the treats for every girl in Maranatha high school.
“Every year since the ninth grade, I’ve bought all the girls in our grade a doughnut for Valentine’s Day,” said Dorman. “This year, since I’m a senior I decided to be a little more ambitious. I decided to get every girl in high school a doughnut.”
The school was abuzz with doughnut deliveries and big smiles.
“It’s really cool to see the student council running trying to pass out all the doughnuts,” said one student who received a doughnut. “I was really shocked but it was a nice to get an extra doughnut.”
Dorman spent $118 to have the doughnuts delivered to all 118 girls. Why did he do it?
“I just want to help people,” said Dorman.
He’ll no doubt be leaving a sweet legacy behind, too.
