Maple Grove Lululemon Store Celebrates Grand Opening
Customers flocked to a prominent location at The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes in Maple Grove Friday morning.
Lululemon celebrated its grand opening on Sept. 27, taking over a 5,400 square foot retail space that was once home to a Williams Sonoma.
Several dozen people crowded into the store the moment they opened their doors to get their hands on free bagels and coffee and to check out Lululemon’s large selection of performance gear.
Dozens of people gathered outside of the Lululemon store in Maple Grove on the morning of its grand opening. The store is located at 12229 Elm Creek Boulevard.
“When you bring in a destination store like a Lululemon, it does bring in traffic, as you saw from that [large gathering of customers],” said Linda Sell, the marketing manager at The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes. “That will continue going forward. And so all the businesses around them will also benefit from that traffic of people walking by. You know, we’re an open-air center, so people are gonna park and walk by other stores on their way to their destination.”
The Shoppes have also added several new stores in the last few months, that includes a J. Crew factory store and an Ikea pop-up store.
