Maple Grove Jerry’s Hardware Store To Close at End of Year
Maple Grove residents are losing a neighborhood hardware store. Jerry’s Hardware, located at 13151 Weaver Lake Rd. near Cub grocery store, is closing Dec. 31.
CCX News confirmed the closure with the store manager, who do not did wish to provide further comment.
Jerry’s Hardware is owned by Jerry’s Enterprises, Inc., which operates more than a dozen Twin Cities grocery stores, including Jerry’s Foods and several Cub locations. Jerry’s Enterprises also did not provide further details.
Jerry’s Hardware is also a part of Do it Best, a member-owned hardware, lumber and building materials cooperative based in Fort Wayne, Ind. Do it Best acquired True Value Company out of bankruptcy for $153 million in November 2024.
According to the company’s website, Jerry’s Hardware started with a single store in Edina more than 50 years ago. It grew to five locations, including Maple Grove. However, the Sun Sailor newspaper reports that the Jerry’s Hardware store in St. Louis Park is also slated to close. That would leave Jerry’s Hardware stores in Edina, Bloomington and Eden Prairie.
CCX News reached out to a city of Maple Grove economic development official, but he had not heard about the closure or what could replace the store.
Residents also reached out to CCX News about the closure.
“We will miss them!” wrote one resident in an email.

Jerry’s Hardware has sign alerting customers of Dec. 31 store closure.
