Hopkins Schools Plans to Adjust Start Times, Grade Configurations
The Hopkins School District announced changes coming to school start times and grade configurations. The school board approved the changes in November.
Starting in fall 2022, elementary schools will start earlier and secondary schools will start later. Information will be shared as operational plans are developed.
In the fall of 2023, sixth graders will also transition to middle school, while ninth graders will move to high school. This move will create more space for Kindergarten and Pre-K learners. The district says they are one of the last districts in the state to make this shift.
You can learn more about both changes on the district’s website.
