Hennepin Tech Live: Class Video Tours Give Peek of On-Campus Life
In celebration of Career and Technical Education Month, Hennepin Technical College is doing live video tours to showcase what students have been up to in classes.
The college will have one tour a week for the month of February. This week, the tour focused on transportation. Those viewing got to see what it looks like to learn and become an automotive technician.
While everyone can sign up to participate in the webinar, the events are popular among high school students who are interested in asking questions about college.
“I feel like people just miss coming in person and checking out our area,” said Corey Young, assistant director of admissions. “Hennepin Tech is so unique because we have different classrooms compared to other people. Everything looks, feels and smells like the area. So it’s different than seeing virtual pictures or video. It’s better for someone to walk through with them to see what classes are like.”
Next week’s tour will focus on automation robotics and engineering technology. The third live video is on video production and the final webinar will be on business.
