Governor Walz Makes Stop at Rogers Fishing Equipment Manufacturer
Minnesota Governor visited Rogers-based Clam Corp. on Friday. The fishing equipment manufacturer was a pandemic success story as more people discovered fishing as a natural way to social distance.
The company relocated from Edina to the property near I-94 back in 2016. It employs around 50 people.
“I hope people never underestimate that entrepreneurial spirit,” said Walz. “It’s really, really important.”
The Walz visit with DNR Commissioner Sarah Strommen and DEED Commissioner Steve Grove is part of a series of stops to highlight Minnesota’s tourism and fishing economy and the importance of protecting natural resources. After the visit at Clam Corp., Gov. Walz was scheduled to go ice fishing.
