Golden Valley’s Under Pressure Brewing Celebrates Five Years This Weekend
It will be “cheers to five years” in Golden Valley this weekend. The crew at Under Pressure Brewing is celebrating its fifth anniversary.
The Golden Valley brewery has been through a lot — it opened one year before the COVID-19 pandemic hit, which took a toll on many breweries.
“It’s been a struggle,” said Tyler Marchiniak, head brewer at Under Pressure Brewing. “COVID wasn’t a wonderful time. Kind of hurt, but hey, we got through it.”
Under Pressure Brewing survived thanks to its award-winning beers and beer blends and a legion of loyal followers, also known as its “Knight Club.”
“Building a fun community with people, a new family, it’s my favorite part,” said Marchiniak.
New Beers, Barbecue and ‘Beerthday’ Cake
For its fifth anniversary, Under Pressure Brewing is releasing five new beers: two barrel-aged stouts, a white chocolate cranberry beer, a grasshopper mint stout and a peanut butter porter. In addition, the brewery is also releasing three gluten-free hard seltzers.
Big Daddy’s Rockin Q barbecue will offer food at the brewery for customers. The menu includes brisket, pulled pork, sausage, potato salad and coleslaw.
Live music is scheduled for Friday and Saturday nights. Chris Ryshavy will perform Friday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Hula Creek will perform Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. On Sunday, customers can enjoy a “rock-to-metal music swap.”
Attendees will also experience beer poking, a centuries-old German tradition of sticking a flaming hot metal rod into an ice cold beer.
The brewery opens at 4 p.m. on Friday and 1 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.
