‘Elvis’ is Back in Brooklyn Park
On Tuesday, seniors gathered on the lawn of the Community Activity Center in Brooklyn Park for the first time since before the pandemic started.
Brooklyn Park resident Todd Anderson was back in his role as Elvis to perform for the crowd. Anderson says he had to cancel more than 50 performances because of COVID-19. He performs as Elvis, Neil Diamond, Frank Sinatra and a cowboy crooner.
Anderson performed virtually and outside of senior facilities, but says there’s nothing like interacting with the audience.
“Wow, it’s fantastic to be out with no mask, just shaking it and putting smiles on faces again,” said Anderson.
