COVID-19 Testing Site in Robbinsdale Sees Dozens of Waiting Cars
North Memorial Health in Robbinsdale offers drive-through testing for COVID-19 three days a week. At any given moment, dozens of cars are lined up filled with people wanting a test.
Officials from North Memorial Health say they test upwards of 600 people per day at the Robbinsdale site. That number is the equivalent of what they could do over a five-day period when they first started testing people back in May.
The Minnesota Department of Health reports that the state has been on an upward trend of positive COVID-19 cases over the past three weeks. On Friday, July 10, the MDH reported another 609 cases, bringing the overall total to 40,767 confirmed cases.
MDH says anyone who has had exposure to someone with a known case of COVID-19 should be tested, but North Memorial will not turn away anyone who shows up to the Robbinsdale location wanting a test.
Drive-through testing is available at the North Memorial Health Specialty Center at 35th and France in Robbinsdale on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
They are asking people to pre-register when they get on site by dialing 763-581-3190 and having their insurance information ready.
Walk-up testing is also available and open to the public Tuesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at North Market located at 4414 Humboldt Ave N, Minneapolis, MN 55412.
