Brooklyn Park Police Investigate Apartment Shooting
Brooklyn Park police are investigating gunfire at an apartment unit that went into the floor below.
Police were called Sunday shortly after 7:20 p.m. to the Eden Park Apartments, located on the 6300 block of Zane Avenue North.
Arriving officers found damage from a gunshot that went into an apartment unit from the apartment above, according to a police news release.
“No one was harmed from the shot being fired through the floor,” police said.
Brooklyn Park police say they detained several people from the apartment in question, including a male individual who was seen exiting the apartment.
Police also say they executed a search warrant on the apartment where the gunshot came from.
No other information on the incident was disclosed.
Sunday’s shooting follows a similar incident last week at the Point of America apartments in Brooklyn Park. In that case, police say a gunshot entered an apartment unit directly above from another unit. No one was injured in that incident.
