Brooklyn Park police are asking for the public’s help to locate a missing adult with Asperger syndrome. Robert Uthmann Sparks, age 22, was reported missing Monday at 5 p.m. Police say Sparks’ absence is highly unusual.
Asperger’s is a developmental disorder characterized by difficulties with social interaction and nonverbal communication. Police say Sparks may be seeking refuge in a coffee shop or similar location. He is known to use the transit system to travel from Brooklyn Park to St. Paul.
Sparks was last seen wearing boots, two pairs of pants, glasses with an orange rubber band on the left side, an “Elmer Fudd-style” hat and green jacket with flourescent colors. He is 5 feet 11 inches tall with a skinny build.
