Brooklyn Park Police Arrest Two Juveniles in Vehicle Theft
Brooklyn Park police on Sunday arrested two juvenile suspects accused of stealing a vehicle.
Police initially responded to the 5900 block of Garwood Ave. N. shortly after noon on Sunday to investigate a juvenile runaway case.
While on scene, officers noticed a vehicle determined to be stolen. The occupants were also believed to be armed, police said.
Brooklyn Park police say the vehicle fled and a pursuit began. Officers stopped the vehicle using a PIT maneuver. Police say multiple people in the vehicle got out and ran.
Two male juveniles were eventually arrested, police said.
Brooklyn Park police say multiple neighboring agencies assisted in the search, which involved the deployment of K9 and drone units.
No injuries were reported.
The incident remains under investigation.
