Brooklyn Park Police Arrest Dollar Tree Store Robber Trying To Escape on Bus
Brooklyn Park police are investigating a robbery Wednesday of a Dollar Tree store in which a suspect tried to escape on a nearby bus route.
According to Brooklyn Park police, officers responded shortly before 5:40 p.m. to the Dollar Tree store, located at 8030 Brooklyn Boulevard.
Upon learning of the robbery, police say officers set up a perimeter and a K9 track with the assistance of police drone cameras. One of the responding officers then saw a person matching the description of the robber boarding a bus at the Starlite Transit Center, police said.
Officers arrested the suspect.
“Video from the Dollar Tree store showed that the person detained at the Starlite Center is the suspect in the robbery,” read a release from the Brooklyn Park Police Department.
An employee at the store sustained minor injuries during the incident.
The Brooklyn Park Police Department was assisted by multiple agencies. Charges in the case were pending.
