Armstrong H.S. Wants Scoreboard Upgrade
Robbinsdale Area Schools is asking the city of Plymouth for a permit to upgrade the current scoreboard at Armstrong High School. The new scoreboard would have a video display.
The current scoreboard was installed in 2007 and the new scoreboard would be in the same location. It would have a video board and only be used for school-sponsored events.
On Wednesday August 7, the Robbinsdale school district will ask the city of Plymouth for a permit to install the new video display scoreboard. The district also wants to make changes to the softball scoreboard so it’s easier to see from the bleachers. So, they will ask for a variance to allow a 19 ft. tall scoreboard where 16 ft. tall is allowed. They are also asking for a variance to allow the baseball scoreboard to remain at 250 square feet where 150 square feet is allowed.

The city approved a variance for an oversized scoreboard for Wayzata High School back in 2012.
