After COVID-19 Cancels Festivals, Snowie MN Vendor Stays Local
For almost seven years, local vendor “Snowie MN” brought families flavourful shaved ice cones during large festivals in Minnesota.
But due to canceled events this year, the vendor had to rely on busy locations and parking lots to keep his business going.
“They’re all understanding, We take all the safety precautions as best we can. Gloves, we wear masks when we’re serving. I have a table for spacing here in front and lots of plexiglass to protect,” said Jeff Ramsey, Snowie MN owner. “People are thankful to have something like this especially today when it’s suppose to be 90 degrees.
On Tuesday, families could see Ramsey selling shaved ice in the parking lot of Midas in Maple Grove, across from Cubs Foods.
Ramsey said his next stop may be in Elk River. To get an update on where you can find Snowie MN, you can go on Facebook.
Ramsey is encouraging everyone to support their local vendors.
