Golden Valley’s Land Acknowledgment Statement
The city of Golden Valley recently released a land acknowledgment statement. It’s an effort to recognize the cultural history of the land and the experiences of indigenous people and to help prevent any further erasure of their culture. The land acknowledgment statement is the first step in a plan to engage community members in discussions at quarterly forums.
