Golden Valley Speed Limit Survey
Every year the city of Golden Valley receives several complaints about speeding on residential streets. Now the city is considering lowering the existing 30 mile per hour speed limit in neighborhoods to 25, or even 20 miles per hour. The city wants input from residents. There’s a short video on Golden Valley’s website showing a vehicle driving through a neighborhood at different speeds. There is also a link to a survey that residents can fill out after watching the video. Input will be gathered through the end of April, and presented to the city council in May. If speed limits are changed, those changes would probably happen by the middle or end of summer.
