Golden Valley Mayor Roslyn Harmon Touts Progress on Civic Center Campus Master Plan
Golden Valley Mayor Roslyn Harmon touted progress on the years-long Building Forward initiative, as the city announced in late December it had hired a consulting firm to help with re-designing the Civic Center Campus.
“I think residents are extremely excited about this,” Mayor Harmon told CCX Media’s Dave Kiser. “This has been years in the making.”
The city selected Minneapolis-based Perkins & Will to lead the master planning process. The project will begin in January and is expected to be completed by early fall.
“Public input is so important as we move forward on this process,” said Harmon.
Town Hall Event
All are invited to a Town Hall event at Brookview Monday, Jan 26, 2026, at 6:30 pm.
This event, co-sponsored by the City, Golden Valley Rotary Club, Golden Valley Historical Society, and League of Women Voters, will feature an overview of city operations and an update on the Building Forward City facilities project, followed by a Q&A moderated by Mayor Harmon.
“If you want to know what’s happening in our city, if you want to know why we make the decisions that we make, or how our government is processed, it’s really important to come to these town halls to even ask questions about certain issues that may be taking place in our city and to be well-informed,” said Harmon.
Registration is not required, and the event is free to attend.
