Brooklyn Park Pizza Restaurant Permanently Closes
Johnny Boy’s Pizza, a Brooklyn Park restaurant that first opened in 2019, has closed.
The venue was located in the Broadway Square strip mall across the street from North Hennepin Community College.
Tables and pizza-making equipment have been removed from the place.
When CCX News met owner Johnny Mouhanna in 2021, he had stated opening the business was the fulfillment of a lifelong dream.
“My first job ever was in a pizza shop, and who doesn’t love pizza,” Mouhanna said at the time. “I always wanted to kind of go back to those roots a little bit.”
Johnny Boy’s Pizza had a number of specialty pizzas, including one made with chicken tenders.
In 2023, Johnny Boy’s finished second in a CCX viewers’ contest for best pizza in the northwest suburbs.
No reason has been given for the closure. CCX News was not been able to reach the owner for comment on Monday.
