Semi-Truck Fire Shuts Down Highway 252
A semi-truck fire caused large plumes of smoke in the Brooklyn Park area Wednesday, forcing a closure of Highway 252 in both directions between 81st and 85th Avenues North.
The truck caught fire shortly before 11:30 a.m. and became fully engulfed. It’s uncertain what was inside the truck. Brooklyn Park police tell CCX News there were no injuries.
MnDOT traffic cameras showed the southbound lanes of 252 reopened a couple hours later, but the northbound lanes remained closed as of 3 p.m.
