What are your qualifications for this office?
Having lived in Robbinsdale for over 35 years, I have a great understanding of both the potential and shortfalls of our city. I will bring a fresh, valuable prospective to city council….A prospective with experience in the city as a longtime volunteer in leadership positions in several areas including youth sports and helping save our schools. I also started and run my own business (Minnesota Score Magazine and Radio) for the past 19 years, so I have a strong business acumen as well.
What do you hope to accomplish in office?
There are several issues that I’m passionate about including an upgrade to our police dept with more training for them to better understand our diverse population and more transparency (better public access to police reports). I’d also like to get more businesses both downtown and in Robin Center that serve the day-to-day needs of our residents. Many of our parks are in desperate need of help and I’d like to make that happen, including a community center, but possibly in an existing building.
