Wood Bat Little League Tournament A Hit
The Wood Bat Little League baseball tournament that benefits the Baseball in Benin project was a hit this weekend in Robbinsdale and St. Louis Park.
We featured a good extra-inning matchup between the Hamel 11’s and Plymouth-New Hope 12 All-Stars.
41 teams were entered in the tournament this year.
Most of the tournament was completed but Sunday’s rain did alter the schedule a bit.
The 10-year-old “A” bracket championship will be played Monday as St. Louis Park faces Coon Rapids at Lakeview Terrace Park in Robbinsdale.
St. Louis Park won the 11/12 division; the 10 “B” title went to Plymouth-New Hope; and the 9-year-old championship wound up as a tie between St. Louis Park and Coon Rapids due to rain.
