Wayzata Youth Volleyball Camp Brings 200 Campers Together
This week’s Wayzata High School youth volleyball camp is teaching the skills of the game to about 200 players—mostly girls– in grades 1 to 9.
Head coach Scott Jackson has held the camp each year since he started coaching at Wayzata 24 years ago.
The four-day event, run by Wayzata coaches with assistance from some of the current varsity players, teaches the fundamentals and skills of the program, while also trying to make sure the camp is a fun experience.
Wayzata’s varsity is the two-time defending state champions, defeating East Ridge in last year’s final.
