Wayzata Wrestling Falls to STMA in Section Final
The Wayzata wrestling team lost to a familiar foe, falling 49-20 to St. Michael-Albertville (STMA) in the Section 5AAA final.
Top-ranked STMA won the first seven matches, building a 34-0 lead before Wayzata got on the board on a pin by Kyler Wong at 152 pounds.
The Knights will be making their 24th consecutive trip to the state team tournament.
Individual competition in Section 5AAA is Saturday at Rogers High School.
