Wayzata Wrestling Falls to STMA in Section 5AAA Final
The Wayzata wrestling team faced a familiar rival in the Section 5AAA team championship, with a familiar result.
Top seed St. Michael-Albertville rolled past the second-seeded Trojans 46-15 to win their 26th straight section title.
Wayzata got wins from three senior captains: Luke Koenen (121 pounds), Logan Swensen (133) and Charlie Petit (160), but the Knights won all of the rest of the matches.
Section individual competition in 5AAA is this coming Saturday at St. Michael-Albertville High School.
