Wayzata Wrestlers Hoping to Overcome Injuries for Strong Season
The injury bug has hit the Wayzata wrestling team this season.
State contenders Logan Swensen and Cal Lonnquist are out for the season, and some others have missed time as well.
It’s still a formidable group though.
The Trojans are ranked tenth and have four wrestlers (aside from Swensen) who are ranked in the top three in their weight class.
After winning tournaments at Osseo and Chanhassen the past two weekends, Wayzata has some big events ahead.
They’ll compete in the Minnesota Christmas tournament this weekend in Rochester.
The Rumble on the Red in Fargo is December 29-30.
Then in early January they’ll head back to Rochester for The Clash, a dual tournament.
Right before that tourney you can see the Trojans in action on CCX Sports as they host Minnetonka January 5th.
