Wayzata wins state boys, girls cross country
Wayzata is a powerhouse when it comes to distance running, and the Trojans showed it again Saturday.
The Trojans boys team rolled to the class AA title, winning for the fourth time in the past five seasons and the tenth time overall. In addition, Khalid Hussein of the Trojans won the individual title after finishing second last season. The Wayzata girls won their fourth title in the past six seasons, beating out last year’s champion Edina. Emma Atkinson was third and Caroline Sasson seventh for Wayzata.
