Wayzata Volleyball Team Moves into State Semifinals
The Wayzata volleyball team moved into the state semifinals with a sweep of Elk River.
The Trojans won the class AAA quarterfinal match 25-14, 25-23, 25-16.
Sophie Jesewitz had 13 kills and Elizabeth Helmich 11 to lead the Trojans.
Olivia Johnson had 33 set assists for Wayzata.
The Trojans now face North St. Paul in the semifinals Friday morning at 11:00.
The Polars upset Lakeville North in the quarterfinals.
