Wayzata Sweeps Titles at Lake Conference Nordic Ski Meet
The Wayzata boys and girls Nordic ski teams each won team titles Tuesday at the Lake Conference championship meet.
Audrey Parham of Wayzata won the girls race, finishing first in the classic style race and winning the pursuit race in 13:55, 25 seconds ahead of runner-up Nina Fedje of Minnetonka.
Grace Wermerskirchen and Lila Golomb also finished in the top 10 as Wayzata’s girls edged Minnetonka by one point to win the meet.
Wayzata’s boys, led by Daniel McCollor, won the meet by 22 team points over runner-up Eden Prairie.
McCollor finished third overall although had the fastest pursuit race time (11:24).
Brendan Hyvare and Daniel Gladkov of Wayzata also finished in the top ten as did Hopkins skiers Logan Drevlow and Liam Urbanowicz.
Both Wayzata and Hopkins will be among the teams competing Monday at the Section 6 meet at Hyland Park Reserve in Bloomington.
