Wayzata Skates to Tie with Benilde in Boys Hockey

Wayzata and Benilde-St. Margaret’s skated to a 1-1 tie in boys hockey Thursday night at Plymouth Ice Center.

Benilde’s Charlie Warnert scored a shorthanded goal with 32 seconds left in the second period to break a scoreless tie.

Wayzata’s Drew Streeter answered early in the third period.

Despite some good chances neither team was able to score again.

Garret Bonello stopped 37 of 38 shots for Wayzata.

Carson Limesand had 28 saves for BSM.

Wayzata is now 4-3-1.

Benilde is 4-2-2.
