Wayzata Legion Baseball Wins Sub-State Opener
The Wayzata American Legion Post 118 top baseball team won its tournament opener in Sub-State 4.
Wayzata rallied from a slow start to beat Excelsior #2 4-2 in St. Louis Park.
After falling behind 2-0, the fourth inning was the key for Wayzata.
They scored four runs to take the lead for good.
Blake Gulden and Charles Engdahl had key hits in the inning for Wayzata.
Blake Ask pitched a complete game for the win.
Wayzata plays again Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. in the second round.
