Wayzata Legion Baseball Overpowers Armstrong in Substate Opener
The Wayzata I American Legion baseball team overpowered Armstrong 9-1 in the opening round of the Substate 4 tournament.
Host Wayzata is the top seed for the tournament.
They bashed four homeruns on the way to the win, with Logan Fragomeni leading the charge with two homers and five runs batted in.
Anthony Esposito and Nick Gebhart also homered for Wayzata.
Chris Brey hit a solo homerun for Armstrong’s only run.
Wayzata meets Rogers in round two Wednesday evening.
The tournament continues through Saturday.
