Wayzata Legion Advances to Regional
The top Wayzata American Legion baseball team has advanced to regional play.
Wayzata rocked Eden Prairie 8-1 in winner’s bracket play at the state tournament.
They followed with a win over Tri-City Red.
Wayzata lost to Tri-City Red in the championship, but both teams advance to regional play in North Dakota.
Wayzata’s Sam Westermeyer was named Rob Wassenaar Pitcher of the Tournament.
