Wayzata Gymnastics Wins State Title
The Wayzata gymnastics team came through in the clutch to win the state class AA team title Friday.
The Trojans scored 146.200 to beat out New Prague (145.725) for the top spot.
Wayzata was consistent on all four events, scoring over 36.0 in each.
Floor exercise was their best event, with a score of 36.725.
It’s the first state championship in gymnastics for Wayzata.
They placed third in 2014.
