Wayzata Gymnastics Tops Hopkins
Wayzata and Hopkins gymnastics teams each recorded their high team scores of the season as the Trojans defeated the Royals 143.250-140.275.
Wayzata is now 4-0 in dual meets this season; the Royals are 3-1.
Hopkins’ Annabelle Speers won three of the four events and the meet’s all-around title with a score of 36.15. Wayzata’s Izzy Hayden, who won the balance beam, was second in the all-around with a score of 36.00.
The two teams will be the favorites to compete for the Section 6AA title February 12th at Hopkins High School.
