Wayzata Gymnastics Set for State Meet
The Wayzata gymnastics team is set for the state meet after excelling at the Section 6AA meet.
The Trojans scored a season-best 147.85 to take the team title in Section 6AA.
Izzy Hayden won the balance beam and placed second in the all-around.
Sasha Arne was floor exercise champion.
Ashley Mouyenga was third in the all-around competition.
Mikaela Lundvall, Kylie Ufheil, Tatum Bohlsen, and Makenna Coen also qualified for state in various events.
The Trojans are aiming for a top three finish in the team competition.
Class AA team competition is Friday at 11:00 a.m.
Individual competition is Saturday at 11:00 a.m. The state meet is at Roy Wilkins Auditorium in St. Paul.
