Wayzata Graduate Alex Schilling Earns Air Force Hockey MVP Award
Former Wayzata High School hockey goalie Alex Schilling earned the Chuck Delich Award as team MVP for the Air Force Academy.
Sophomore Schilling took over as the starter partway through the 2019-2020 season and started the final 29 games for the Falcons.
He had 12 wins, a 2.39 goals against average, and two shutouts.
Schilling was Wayzata’s starting goalie in their state class AA championship season in 2016.
He played two seasons of junior hockey for the Austin Bruins of the NAHL before coming to Air Force.
