Wayzata Girls Lacrosse Knocks Off Maple Grove, Returns to State for First Time in 11 Years
For the first time since 2015, the Wayzata girls lacrosse team earned their spot in the MSHSL girls lacrosse state tournament.
The Trojans beat defending Section five champion Maple Grove by a score of 11-5.
McLean Roeder and Lulu Frys both had big scoring nights for the Trojans. Wayzata scored seven unanswered goals to start the second half.
Maple Grove ends its season with a 10-6 record.
