Wayzata Girls Hockey Tops Blake 4-2
The Wayzata girls hockey team skated to a 4-2 win over Blake Thursday in a match-up of two teams ranked in the top 15 in Class AA.
The Trojans led 3-0 in the second period on goals by Sloane Matthews, Julia Lindahl and Jenna Britz. Blake rallied on the strength of two second period power play goals from Sam Broz and Kate Kasica.
The Trojans’ Nicole Britz scored an empty net goal in the closing seconds of the game to cap the scoring.
Wayzata improved its season record to 14-6-1. Blake is now 9-8-0.
