Wayzata Girls Basketball Tops Hopkins For Regular Season Sweep
The Wayzata girls basketball team beat Hopkins 76-70 Thursday, completing a regular season sweep of the Royals- the first time that’s happened since at least the 1980s.
Katie Kelzenberg scored 17 points, Annika Kieser 16 and Allie Berns 15 for the Trojans (19-4).
Maliyah White scored 17 to lead the Royals (19-5).
A win for the Trojans at St. Michael-Albertville on February 21st would give Wayzata an outright conference title, their first since 1983 or earlier.
