Wayzata Girls Basketball Team Set for Section Final
The Wayzata girls basketball team is set to face Hopkins in the Section 6AAAA final.
The Trojans are 23-4 and ranked third in the state, but still are widely considered a big underdog.
That has them fired up to take another shot at Hopkins after two regular season losses to the Royals.
Wayzata advanced to the section final by beating St. Louis Park 71-64 in the semifinals.
Hopkins is undefeated this season and won the state Class AAAA title last season.
The teams meet at the Lindbergh Center at Hopkins High School Thursday night at 7:00.
