Wayzata Girls Basketball Falls to Unbeaten Chaska
The Wayzata girls basketball team lost to unbeaten and third-ranked Chaska 61-59 Friday.
The Trojans lead the Hawks 35-26 at halftime thanks to a combined 23 first-half points from Mara Braun and Jenna Johnson.
Braun finished the game with 20 points and Johnson 17.
But Chaska’s Mallory Heyer scored 16 of her 18 points in the second half to rally the Hawks (12-0) for the win.
The Trojans (7-5) face Eden Prairie and Cooper this week.
